As your Holistic Health Coach I will be your guide and mentor who empowers you and provides ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness. 

I will listen carefully and we’ll navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and health advice together to explore what truly works for you.

I began my journey following diets that focused on a one-size-fits-all approach to weight-loss. They emphasized guilt, shame and restriction around food. These diets took all the enjoyment out of eating and living for me. I felt like I was just mechanically putting food in my body to eventually experience a desired result and avoiding any and all situations that might lead me to get off track. I realized that even after I finished the diet, I couldn't look at food the same way anymore. Food became a fear of mine, and I couldn't enjoy it the way I used to. I felt like I had to chose between being happy in my life or being happy with the number that I saw on the scale 

My approach to health coaching is completely different. It focuses on finding nourishment and enjoyment in food, and is tailored specifically to your health goals and personal preferences. 

 

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that we will look at how all areas of your life are connected. As we work together, we will look at how each area of your life is affecting your health as a whole. This might look like exploring how stress at your job or in your relationship(s) is effecting your health, or how a lack of sleep or low energy is preventing you from reaching your health goals. 

I work with my clients to get in touch with their body’s needs and combine this information with their goals and preferences to guide them towards lasting change. I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself in any given circumstance. I believe each person, when given the tools, is fully capable of making well-informed decisions as their own expert. 

We will define what you value most from your well-being, and use these visions to motivate specific goals that bring you closer to where you want to be. As your coach, I will not dictate a diet for you, but together we will explore why some foods make you feel better than others and how to strategically use that feedback. Together we’ll create your health goals within reasonable time frames and actionable objectives so you know exactly what you’re working toward. I look forward to working with you on your journey to wellness.
